Mexicana’s grounding prompts American Airlines to add Mexico City flights

We see that American Airlines has added an extra round trip between Dallas/Fort Worth and Mexico City as it attempts to fill the void left by partner Mexicana's grounding.

On Sunday, American added a 1:30 p.m. departure to Mexico City and 4:30 p.m. Mexico City departure back to D/FW. It had a similar added roundtrip between Miami and Mexico City.

On the average day, American operates four round trips between D/FW and Mexico City. On Sunday, we had five. Miami usually has three. On Sunday, it went to four.

We'll see what American adds in coming days.
